"Development of Ultra-High Speed Plastic Optical Fiber" and "Development of Photonics Polymers for High-Definition and Large-Screen Displays" are both positioned as "Photonics Polymer Core Technology Development" based upon master patent technology developed by the Koike Laboratory. The objective of these themes is the practical application of frontier research, through comprehensive R&D ranging from molecular design to co-extrusion process.

"Development of Face-to-Face Communication Systems" works to apply these research findings to our everyday lives. The scope of this mission includes the establishment of implementing technology, standardization for commercialization, and society needs, etc.  System Design Management methods will be employed to overcome any obstacles we face, as we strive to give back to society by enriching lives, and fostering new industry development through the integration of our research.
