At KPRI, we are eager to hear your ideas. For the international symposium taking place on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, we have set up an Idea Box. Please click the below button to access it and share with us your valuable thoughts.

We look forward to hearing your honest opinions and ideas not only regarding the KPRI International Symposium, but also regarding our program itself.

We hope that this KPRI Idea Box will help create a shared vision of a "face-to-face communications world where technology is brought back to the people".

Thank you.

KPRI Idea Box which was open during Oct 19, 2010 - Feb 18 2011has been closed, We thank you very much for your interesting ideas and participation.

Greeting

Yasuhiro Koike

Yoichi Yokomizo

In 2009, our project, the "Creation of Face-to-Face Communication Industry by Ultra High-Speed Plastic Optical Fiber and High-Resolution, Large-Size Display" was selected for funding by the Japanese Cabinet Office's Funding Program for World-Leading Innovative R&D on Science and Technology (FIRST). This April, the Keio Photonics Research Institute (KPRI) was established as a division of Keio University's Graduate School of Science and Technology in order to carry out our research. The Cabinet Office's program will support our research and development for four years until 2014. In collaboration with over 10 companies, the Koike laboratory will create truly innovative applications and industries unlike anything the world has ever seen before based upon photonic polymers. This groundbreaking new material originating in our lab will revolutionize lives in the same manner that semiconductors brought about the information society we enjoy today.

We are pleased to announce that we will be holding an international symposium in October in the first year of our operation. At the symposium, we will share "Our vision of the future Face-to-Face communication world where technology is brought back to the people," and exchange ideas with our participants using the newest cloud system at our KPRI homepage. If you are interested in joining this special session held at "Kyoseikan" in Keio Hiyoshi Campus, please register online by using the below form. In the event that registrations exceed capacity, participants will be drawn at random. The exhibition at "Raiosha" is open to anybody without registration from the 19th to the 21st, and contents of the special session will be posted on the KPRI homepage. We will also invite those who could not join us on the 19th to share their views via cloud system.

We sincerely hope that you will join us at the symposium and contribute to the future society of Face-to-Face communication.
